Everyone who has been to Thailand's Koh Phangan knows that this island is home to amazing restaurants. During our two visits there last fall, our absolute favorite one was Indigo. It seemed to be popular among other islanders too, as we often had to wait in line to get a table, despite it´s rather big venue.
In any case, all the dishes there were superb. So good, in fact, that one morning we called out the head chef and asked for the recipe because we couldn't fathom how such simple ingredients could be combined to create something sooooo perfectly delicious. Chef Chris, of Filipino descent, has worked in Japan, Macau, Hong Kong, and has now settled on this island. He has developed a menu there that was both incredibly tasty and healthy, along with his own line of pastries, chocolates, coffees, smoothies, and more.
His creations left such a deep impression that upon returning to Estonia, we couldn't help but wonder: what if we invited him to Estonia and Viirelaid Island? And after 2 weeks of persuading, he agreed. Now we're sorting out the paperwork and have received confirmation that he'll be arriving at the end of May. So, friends, this summer you'll not only have our superb chef Birgith from Fotografiska but also the flavors of Asia. You are therefore invited to join us this summer. There's no other place in Estonia where you'll have two amazing chefs cooking for you - one from Estonia and the other from Thailand.
We've put together the "Journey Around the World" package, where we offer a culinary adventure with our new awesome chefs. It's a special food trip that starts as soon as you arrive on the island with snacks and lunch, and by evening, we'll have prepared a special multi-course dinner featuring dishes from Thailand, the Philippines, Italy, France, Estonia, and Japan, with a healthy selection of breakfast options for the next morning.
