Accommodation at Viirelaid and Virtsu.
Viirelaid is a special place where you can come and enjoy a unique experience for both as a couple or a larger group. During the season from May to the end of August, we accept couples, families, smaller groups of friends only on the dates, when we have a special experience/event planned for you. You can see all possible dates events.
There is also a special alternative for couples! If you want a romantic private stay for two, then we have built a floating accommodation - the KUUL. You can see information, pictures and prices KUUL Viirelaid.
However, if you want to come with a group, please send us a price request HERE and we will send you an offer and free dates for this season.
During the summer season we have the possibility to accommodate maximum of 101 persons in total. We have a variety of accommodation options, from more luxurious rooms to simpler tents. Below you can see pictures and plans of our rooms.
In a big plan, we have 2/3 of the 101 places “beautiful-nice-luxurious” and 1/3 tents.

Accommodation can be rented separately if it is available on the desired date.

Main house
LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER FAMILY HOUSE, BUILT IN 1880 AND RENOVATED IN 2016
The historic Lighthouse Keeper’s House is the heart of Viirelaid’s accommodation – warm, cozy, and full of character. It’s perfect for families, small groups, or couples seeking peace, nature, and a touch of history.
- On the ground floor, there is a spacious dining room with a long table that comfortably seats up to 40 guests for dinners or group gatherings.
- The same floor also features a fireplace lounge, perfect for romantic evenings or relaxing with friends.
- Shared toilet and shower facilities are available on both the first and second floors for all guests staying in the Main House.
- Rooms 1–3 are located on the ground floor, while Rooms 4–6 are upstairs.
- Room 7 is the Main House suite – a more spacious, private option with its own fireplace and private bathroom with shower and toilet. Ideal for guests seeking extra comfort.

- Perfect for standing events, the space can accommodate up to 90 people, allowing for fluid movement and lively atmosphere.
- Ideal for live music or entertainment, the space fits a small band or performer, making it great for evening receptions, mini-concerts or post-dinner dancing.
- The large sea-view terrace adds extra space for group work, sunset dinners, or cocktail receptions under the open sky.
- A private in-house bar serves a variety of drinks, including our very own handcrafted Viirelaid Gin – a unique island flavor in every glass.

Sauna House, Pool & Hot Tub

Viirelaid’s sauna house with pool, hot tub, and a spacious sea-view terrace is more than just a place to unwind – it’s a complete island experience where relaxation, nature, and celebration come together.
- The sauna house is part of the historic Lighthouse Keeper’s complex and is included when booking the entire complex – with full access to the private pool and terrace area.
- The traditional wood-fired Finnish sauna offers an authentic steam experience, perfect for recharging in any season.
- The outdoor pool (open spring to autumn) is ideal for cooling off or floating under the sun with a sea breeze in the air.
- The hot tub, located on the terrace, is available for an additional fee – especially magical during cool evenings or under the stars.
- The terrace features a long table for group dinners, making it one of the best sunset spots on the island – this side of the island faces the setting sun.
- The area is perfect for private parties, wedding receptions, or live performances, with enough space for a band or DJ and even a dance floor.
